The Sherman Group is an entrepreneurial investment group from Fort Wayne, Indiana; with ownership representing over 150 years of experience in heavy manufacturing.

The Sherman Group is actively searching for complementary, metal-related manufacturing opportunities in the Midwest. Fab Weld has over 56 years of experience in steel fabrication and continues to be a major part of the industrial landscape of northeastern Indiana.   Recently, Fab Weld moved to a new state-of-the-art facility with 73,000 square feet of high-ceiling manufacturing space allowing them the flexibility needed to meet any customer’s demands.

Fab Weld’s services include CNC burning, laser cutting, shearing capability, certified welding, rolling capability, structural steel fabrication and braking capability. 

Fab Weld is Deister Concentrator’s main supplier for all steel parts needed for production, along with custom fabrication equipment.  With the collaboration of Fab Weld LLC, Deister Concentrator completed several multi-million dollars contracts in Russia and Vietnam as well as other contracts in Canada, Turkey, Morocco and several South American countries.

As a leader in all types of machining, engineering and building specialty equipment, Hoosier Manufacturing is making its mark.  Not only does Hoosier provide all types of machining from CNC to details and fixtures for manufacturing, but it also builds new equipment, as well as integrating existing equipment.  Hoosier is currently working toward ISO certification.

Hoosier Manufacturing was previously located in New Haven, IN.  In 2008 Hoosier moved to 4202 Piper Drive, Fort Wayne, IN 46809 (close to Fort Wayne International Airport). The move brought Hoosier closer to its sister companies. In addition, the new facility has increased floor space and workflow.  This move has also proven to increase customer service.

Hoosier makes parts for a number of large companies, including Ford, Honda, Essex and GM; but also does short run production for numerous smaller companies. Hoosier continues to do what it does best: addressing the needs of all of its customers.
